We got so carried away with discussing so many matters eagerly and excitedly, that it was close to impossible to take notes of who said what!
Taking part in today's "conference" were Heather, Emily, Kelly and Shelby. On the agenda was, after a short absence from the Cafe, the Tohoku earthquake, or rather about the present state of Japan as a whole. Heather believes Japan is finished, others obviously couldn't agree, or didn't want to. Emily's friend was going to buy some land for building a new house in a excellent part of Kyoto, but their son, a "professional" in the field, stopped the deal as that piece of land was lying exactly above a fault!
Kelly showed us a 25-year-old, nicely handmade "Noren" with embroidery of some Japanese celebrities whose names I didn't quite catch. One was wearing a kimono, made of real kimono cloth!
Shelby brought up the very sad news of the 12-ton crane running into the group of elementary children on their way to school, killing six of them......

Later, we let of some air, talking (mostly complaining!) about the worrisome Japanese addiction to cellphones - take them away from them, they probably fall over & die!:

(The lady in black is quite beautiful, however!)

And as our topics were more on the serious side, we tried to relax a little with these totally useless, however funny quotes & proverbs:

Here is a whole list of various "Terminators" - enjoy, I'll be back!          STUPID TERMINATORS

And today's cake, accompanied by a little Easter decoration:

Thanks for showing up on this a little chilly, rainy April day!
