Hello community and a heartfelt welcome from the "Master & his Bunch" - To Isabella! 
Another excellent, eager English speaker joined us today. I'm sure she had a good time with us! Isabella is lowering the average age of the Cafe members a little.......I'm not going to say anymore!

Welcoming her were Kelsey, Sabrina and Brittany. Kelsey spent a cold night recently - the plug of her "hot blanket" had popped out (what a wild sleeper she must be!!). Also, her name today was the same one  with a home stay guest she had at her house some years ago, so she was happy! 
Sabrina's sister, who is living in the south of England,bravely foiled a jewelry shop robbery with just her handbag,combined with her courage! Great job! (Ok, it wasn't really her sister, but......).
Other subjects covered were the mess about the Sumo, the difference between analog and digital TVs, and interviewing Isabella! Her reason for becoming interested in English is the music by the Carpenters which she listened to in high school.
Apparently, the sound of the language made her fall for it (はまった).
Also, she gave me some homework, asking for a suitable expression for the Japanese "適当に". She was told there's not good translation, and I guess she is right - community, can you help? "Freely", "shallow", "fluffy", among others, came up. But I think that "fluffy" actually comes very close to the Japanese nuance. This is what the dictionary has to say:
