At first I thought: "Oh oh, I might be alone today", but then Angela dropped in, and my day was saved! Then, while talking about her Sanuki Udon "Hashigo" trip to Kagawa-ken, Jacqueline joined the party, a little past two o'clock.
The serving style of the first Udon shop on Angela's list was really unique: Only noodles (NO soup), with a little soy sauce and some, I forgot now, green chili pepper or something! Angela said it was the best udon she had ever tasted! The other shops were more your ordinary udon style.
Jacqueline told us about her visit to the cinema to watch "Younger Brother", and how Tsurube's acting really moved her. From there, our discussion was about actors and actresses, and how difficult it is for us to accept (only for me?) "regulars" playing a entirely different role -
1) Bruce Willis is always McCain of "Die Hard",
2) Roger Moore and Sean Connery will always be "007"
3) Michael J. Fox will always be Marty McFly of "Back to the future"
4) Takuya Kimura will always be SMAP (Johnnys), even in a very serious role.........

and so on.......
Ok, now I guess you can all tell when I have stopped watching movies!! Totally out of date!!

Our phrase was easy, and here for the second time:

And our cake was of course tasty as usual:

Enjoy the Olympics (and everything else!)

Thanks for coming

Looking forward to a bigger crowd next time,
