I could welcome a mini-crowd of three girls on the last day of the "new-year round". New Year Round means all three Cafe days have passed once now in 2011 - so from Thursday, no more "Oshogatsu stuff" on the menu!
Having said that, Heather, Cassandra, Britanny and me didn't really talk about the subject of the new year. On the agenda were, in a totally higgledy-piggledy manner, a story about dinner show in a hotel (which celebrity could fill the hall AND make money at the same time!), yet another Cafe member is going to get a computer (OF COURSE to follow this blog!), Saizeria (THE CHEAPEST Italian restaurant around!), and the fact that wines don't have to be expensive to taste good!! We also discussed (yet again?) about the strange custom of tipping in countries other than Japan (I HATE it!).

Our only new year related matter was this one:

How are YOUR resolutions coming along?

And the cake was a first-timer, never had this shape and/or taste here before - Caramel Stick cake!

And that's it for today!

A cheer for a successful, fun new year!
