You know, I'm starting to run out of ideas of how to begin each posting......
Hello,........Ok,...........Today,.........any good suggestions? Maybe I should
change the language? Something like this, maybe:
Bonjour, aujourd 'hui Chelsea,Hannah, Alicia et Emily....
Ok, this of course, was French, but I'm sure you all know that today four people
showed up, and what their names were!
Although we DID try hard again to keep our topics "light & easy", we did end up talking politics, global
warming (is it really true?), before we managed to take our discussion to talking about food - NOT any kind of
food, of course, STRANGE food!! - asking each other if anyone had any shivering experience with unusual
food. I mentioned fried frog (chinese food) being excellent, and that I was shocked to learn (ages ago) that Japanese
people DO eat insects! Emily's most unforgettable experience was her encounter with the famed Dorian (in Thailand), although she didn't feel the smell was too bad.
So, why do we eat shrimps, small fish with head (eyes!!) and tail (......), but make strange faces when asked if we can eat cicadas, like the Okinawans do?
And the moral of the story is: Never become a "detective" for "Tantei Night Scoop" - they have to eat EVERYTING!

Our totally harmless "food" today looked like this, and came from the shop (sorry):

And our interesting phrase was a funny idiom:

So, I'm going skiing tomorrow with my family and some friends possibly to Hachikita - if I don't see you next
time, we probably got lost in the deep mountains - ending up living in caves and eating insects!

Thanks for coming today,

The "Master"
