Hi, group!
I'm pleased to say that at a steady pace the Cafe was able to once again say hello to a new, cheerful lady - Kelly from Ireland! A warm welcome to you, we're pleased you decided to join the club (of the "wild ladies"!).
Our veterans Chelsea, Katie, Kelsey, Brooklyn, and our "still fresh" Heather took good care of her. But actually, Kelly turned out to be a very fluent speaker of the English language, and not nervous or shy at all! Great job, keep it up!

Among the subjects today was another riddle brought in by our "riddle specialist" Katie, and a good one, too:

With which two letters can candy be spelled, and why? It can be written by using only two (2) letters, which two are they?

Other things we talked about a little were Japanese family names, as Kelly's (real) name is extremely unique......but as the www. is very public, I can't tell you here. It roughly translates to something like "Air-hole".........(No, this is NOT a another riddle!). We also enjoyed discussing why studying, in our case English, is so much more appreciated now as adults, although many of us didn't like it during their school days at all.
Honestly, I'm also pleasantly surprised how many adult Japanese speak good English.

Today's idioms (sorry for the small print - when I noticed it, it was too late to change):

And today's sweet - perfect on a hot day like this - is introduced by no other but ME:

Thanks for coming - and don't forget me!
