Hi, "community"!
Well, what a relieve to see so many happy (and not so happy) faces here today - I expected "the worse", so to speak,
but five eager ladies showed up today: Jade (the "unfortunate" one, but more of that later), Christina (the "riddle lady" - it was her second time here this week!), Courtney (our "native American" & my big help), Emily (our "quiet beauty"), and Amy (THE Tuesday lady per se).
The group started today by listening to my traffic accident story with all its' gloomy details, the one mentioned in the previous blog posting. From there we stayed with this topic for a while, and Jade told us about her very recent accident on Saturday the 14th (puuuh, that was close!), before drifting to some more brighter topics. Christina's planned trip to Nagano was canceled as the travel agency couldn't manage to gather the minimum number of bookings necessary to go ahead with the tour and NOT loose any money, Courtney had her sister visit and they had a good time, Emily is expecting a homestay guest (A 16-year old girl from America) by the name of EMILY soon, and she arranged to take her up the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. "Up" in this case really meaning "up": NOT the observation platform with the coffee shop you might know, but actually going up by elevator inside the pillar, 90 stories high!! Wow! It costs 3000 ¥ per person, by the way! I suppose somebody needs money (somebody besides me!).
Amy showed up today because last Tuesday she had to be a good grandmother, and she said that she had a good time with the Thursday members. I'm glad to hear that!
Today, we enjoyed some "Japanese-style Puddings" - courtesy of the truck driver who hit my car:

And our "study assignment" - part II in the series of "native expressions":

We had a nice time on this not-so-warm-but-sunny day!

See you again soon
